The biggest city of the Czech Republic is Prague, which is also the national capital.It is basically located in central part of Bohemia along the Vltava River, and is referred to as one of the most fantastic places in Europe, with a long saga of legendry historical significance.
Since the eleventh century, this city has enjoyed a much higher social, economic as well as cultural importance giving solace and comfort to two million inhabitants and it attracts more tourists from around the world.
The city has the screen name of “the golden city” along with many popular names, also proudly possesses the Prague Castle, which is the world’s largest castle from the ancient times that is listed under the Guinness Book of World Records.
Fortunately, Prague was not much damaged during the World War II and so most of the historic buildings with striking architecture is still stands tall echoing the rich heritage of the city and for this reason the UNESCO has listed the Prague in the World Heritage Sites from 1992 onwards. Prague is famed worldwide as the cultural capital of Europe and to live up to the expectations of tourists, the city boasts of music clubs, galleries, concert hall including the National Library, Museum, Theatre and State Opera. Today Prague is undoubtedly one of the most famous tourist hot-spot and it may be of interest to note that the place is today the sixth most frequently visited European city, and thousands of foreigners are paying trips to the amazing land of Prague!!
