Vienna is on par with the most sophisticated cities in terms of quality of life and this imposing city is noted for the existence of important organizations like United Nations and OPEC.
Most commonly toured places are Wiener Metropol, a small but famous theatre, the Naschmarkt, "Kettenbrueckengasse”, little eateries that serve both traditional recipes and exotic Italian and Chinese cuisines and lot more with attached open garden with free space to relax and enjoy the lovely breeze during hot summer afternoon! Although beware that taking anything out from country from Naschmarkt, is a legal offence even if you have bought it officially! Be it roaming freely browsing various items or shopping, take time to stop by at flea market.
The rivers and canals are also worth a visit as Museumsquartier is a cool place for hang outs in the evenings, mostly during summer.
The Ring, Prater house and Parliaments are also amongst the most visited spots and many tourists make it a point to visit the Austrian Library and the near by museums.
For the movie freak, there is an opera film festival during the months of July & August on a massive open air screen and if you are a dance lover you can even consider the option of having a look at the ImPulsTanz Festival!
So overall a great place to travel to, have fun and enjoy few days, doesn’t matter if you are looking out for historical monuments or theatres.
